According to Scientists, This is The Best Breakfast for Athletes

All around the world, every athlete thinks that they need to start the day with a breakfast containing carbohydrates, fat and protein. According to researchers at the University of Erlangen-Nuremburg in Germany this is not the ideal breakfast. They say that it’s better to have pure protein meal once you get up. If you start eating pure protein breakfast, your body will be able to produce even more anabolic hormones like growth hormone and insulin and also inhibits the production of cortisol.

Researches came to this claiming, by having a research where men aged 18 to 40 years consumed a mixture of 24 g of amino acids dissolved in a glass of water in the morning. In that mixture were contained:

  • Valine
  • Tyrosine
  • Lysine
  • Cysteine
  • Leucine
  • Isoleucine
  • Phenylalanine
  • Methionine
  • Threonine
  • Histidine
  • Tryptophan

Beside these, the mixture contained a lot of vitamins and minerals. This group of men was divided in three groups. The first was a fasting control group, and here participants ate nothing. The second was an iso control group that had carbohydrates with milk protein (same calories as the amino acid shake). And the last one was a group that had the amino acid mixture.

The Results

The amino acids mixture group, the one that was taking the pure protein breakfast, resulted in a very high HGH peak: the concentration rose on average by a factor 21, and remained high for about an hour and half in most subjects. But this was not it, it was found that there was a declining in cortisol levels by almost 50% in the AA mixture group. On the other hand, cortisol was declined by 10% in the iso control group.

So if you at first didn’t believe the researchers what they were saying, now you should believe the results. And every athlete in the world, and every person that cares about their health needs to start consuming breakfast as high in proteins as possible. Doing so will result in a peak production of HGH as well as an increase IGF-1.

Keep in mind that if you want to see your results really fast, keep your breakfast to pure protein and you can expect to see great, long term results.
