How to Remove Dark Skin on the Neck, Armpits, Elbows, Knees with These Powerful Treatments

A dark skin areas issue is common with many people and this is normal and its pigmentation name is acanthosis nigricans which comes as due to aging and sun exposure. Also, these areas do not have oil glands and skin is prone to drying. We should not skip skin care on these areas because it can worsen. Armpits are dark because of antiperspirant use or shaving also, and it can make you ashamed to lift arms. Must be carefully with choosing cosmetics even though it smell amazing.

Now we present some remedies that help issue with dark neck

Baking soda exfoliates skin and cleans it also as it erases even freckles. Just mix 3 parts soda with 1 part water and make a paste, apply on neck and wait to dry. In a few minutes rinse it. Repeat twice weekly.

Potatoes are crystalline in content and with its catecholase lighten skin. Just grind them and place its juice on affected 15 min after, wash it off with cold water. You can mix lemon and potato juice also and after 15 min rinse with cold water. This also helps for acne scars.

Aloe vera nourishes skin as one good cream and lightens it as well, as it erases spots and dark areas and repairs skin all over. Only need to be applied on and wait 20 min before rinsing it off. Must be done every day

Knees and elbows

  1. Milk has fat acids, vitamins also that soothe the skin. Blended with curd even intensifies effect. All you need: 2 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp curd. Make a paste of blended ingredients, apply it on and after 15 minutes wash off.
  2. Lemon peels gives vitamin C as this removes dead cells and evens out new skin cells. Just put on the skin and wash after 20 min. Also you can apply mix of juice with honey and repeat this.
  3. Sugar  is good for evening out the skin if used as scrub and removal of dead cells. You need to mix same parts olive oil and sugar and make a paste, massage with it and after some time just wash off. Keep doing this daily
  4. Almond is nut and its oil are so great for skin as they have nutrients that keep skin pretty. Only massage the spot with warm oil 5 min daily, before sleeping. Do this few days in row. Also you may blend 2 tbsp powdered almonds with yoghurt as paste for skin. When it dries, rub it off with wet fingers. After wash with cold water. Repeat it daily for 14 days.


  1. Cucumber is veggie that lightens skin as lemon and you can mix it with lemon. But, it also soothes and cools the skin. Just mix juice with lime or turmeric. As lemon removes dead cells, cucumber cools skin and turmeric removes stains. Do circle motions of this veggie for rubbing or use juice for massage.
  2. Chickpea mask is made of 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp yogurt, 2 tbsp chickpea flour,1 pinch turmeric mixed all together and stir to make it even. Then leave for an hour on the armpit and wash off. You will see it brightens skin and leaves it soft. Use daily and after use it only twice per week.
