Studies Find Physical Pain Correlates With Spiritual And Emotional Pain

There are numerous researches conducted on pain. Numerous researchers claim that physical pain is deeply connected with spiritual and emotional pain.

We all know how rough can life be. You feel like you’re on an emotional roller coaster. Have you ever thought that those emotions have started to manifest themselves into physical pain?

According to Dr. Susan Babel, a psychologist that specializes in trauma-induced depression, “Studies have shown that chronic physical pain might not only be caused by physical injury but also by stress and emotional issues.”

Many people know and have felt that emotional stress can cause irritable bowel syndrome, stomachaches, and headaches. It can also cause other physical complaints or chronic physical pain. According to a study, people who are more anxious and under constant stress have constricted muscles which will become fatigued and inefficient in time.

“More subtly, one might develop psychosomatic symptoms or stress-related symptoms because of unresolved emotional issues. Often, physical pain functions to warn a person that there is still emotional work to be done, and it can also be a sign of unresolved trauma in the nervous system,” the doctor claims.

Here are some of the most common types of pain connected to emotions!
