Why You Should Take Your Apple Cider Vinegar at Night

Apple cider vinegar has been used for various purposes, but it also possesses numerous health benefits. It’s beneficial for balancing pH levels, helping control weight and beneficial gut bacteria.

One of the most amazing benefits of this type of vinegar is its ability to balance blood sugar levels and maintain them well.  According to a study by the Arizona State University, 11 participants with type 2 diabetes who weren’t taking insulin but didn’t stop taking their prescription drugs were given two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar along with a snack or in this case 1 oz of cheese before bedtime. Their results showed that their blood sugar was increased when doctors gave them the same snack along with two tablespoons of water.

A recent study also managed to prove that adults with pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and healthy individuals had lower blood glucose levels after they only took an ounce of ACV when they had a meal of a glass of orange juice and white bagel with butter.

The participants with pre-diabetes managed to improve their blood glucose levels by half. Those who had type 2 diabetes managed to lower their blood glucose levels by 25%.

The Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry published a study in which researchers managed to prove that mice fed a high-fat diet along with acetic acid found in ACV exhibited 10% lower body weight when they were compared to the control subjects.

The trigger genes that set off enzyme`s ability to break down fat were activated by the acetic acid activates and in this way weight gain was prevented.

A similar study from Japan was performed on obese individuals who had similar body weight, waist measurement and body mass index. Researchers divided them in three groups.

One of the groups drank half an ounce of ACV, one group had a beverage with an ounce of ACV, and the third group was given a drink without ACV for 12 weeks. At the end of the study, the results showed that the people who drank ACV had lower body weight, smaller waist measurements as well as lower body mass index.

According to the scientists: “In conclusion, daily intake of vinegar might be useful in the prevention of metabolic syndrome by reducing obesity.”
